We use the buff in our raid -- without question. Not that we're ultra-shitty or anything, but it's not the sort of thing that gave us pause. I think the focus is the fact that we're IN THERE at all. :) I can understand that it might be frustrating or confusing for guilds that were in there before the advent of the buff -- and, to some degree, I'm curious about what it would have been like without it (I realize you can click it off, but making sure everyone does that would likely be more of a hassle than just going with it) -- but overall it's not a concern.

Not too shabby a stable of alts there yourself! ;)

Re. what to name your DK--
Even though I don't RP, I have a policy of always giving my characters "real person" names, even if the character was only and expressly created to be a banker.
Because I have an aversion to playing "evil" characters, I had to think of a good story for a DK before I could convince myself to play one (those are upcoming posts for my own blog). Thus, my DK's names arose out of their backstories. My Tauren DK's name is harsher than any of my other Tauren's names, but not really a "Death Knight name".

That is a very good point actually. We got a couple of progress kills in ICC 10 yesterday and we were definitely hanging on to some of the people with scrapings of health left, so they probably would have been wipes without the buff.

Though I will admit that the extra damage is very welcome for me as my DPS is quite poor - I am still attempting to learn how to DPS as a shadow priest so any buff there is a good buff for me. :-)

I think that the point that will make the biggest difference is most likely the 5% health buff. I have been left at times with a couple of hitpoints (literally) left between me and another repair bill, this 5% represents perhaps an extra 1K HP on a regular DPSer which is a nice extra cushion.

The extra healing and damage is nice, but that extra HP will help prevent deaths. A dead dpser < a low dpser after all :) (unless the low dpser is really REALLY low)
